Welcome to storytelling, community engagement, and immersive learning—Gather Place "We bring history to life!"
As a woman of color, I am honored to help uplift stories that for too long were untold, overlooked, forgotten, or spoken for by others. As America approaches its 250th anniversary, the absence of sustained, meaningful storytelling that fully celebrates women—especially those who shaped this nation through quiet courage and world-changing impact—feels both urgent and sacred. I am deeply grateful to the Gather Place team for walking beside me as we tell these stories by us, for us, and for all who deserve a fuller, truer history.
Gather Place Museum proudly continues its mission to Bring History to Life. Building on three years of impactful programming, we celebrate 250 years of courage, resilience, and achievement, honoring the enduring spirit of freedom, unity, and possibility that continues to inspire our communities and our country. unfinished work of democracy—making America’s 250th not just a celebration, but a moment of meaning, remembrance, and renewed purpose.
All of these programs are ideal for classrooms, libraries, women’s leadership programs, civic organizations, and community groups.
